Puppy Health Guarantee

We guarantee your new puppy to be free of any life threatening hereditary defects for a period of one year from the date of birth. The following conditions must be met for the guarantee to remain in effect:

  • The puppy must be taken to a reputable vet of your choosing in the first 72 hours (or 96 hours if the puppy is purchased on a Friday) following purchase to have a full examination. This will be at the Buyers expense and proof of the appointment will need to be provided to Seller (email or text copy of statement from vet).

  • The puppy must receive vet care at periodic intervals to include regular checkups, deworming, continuation of the vaccination series already started through completion, as well as all other future vaccines as recommended by vet.

  • The puppy receives daily rations of quality food and fresh water such that it is well nourishing and resistant to sickness.

  • The puppy is housed in a suitable shelter typical for its breed and protected against extreme weather and other harmful environmental conditions.

What your puppy is guaranteed against:

  • Seller will ensure puppy has had a Vet wellness examination, age appropriate vaccinations and de-worming before you take possession. Your new puppy is guaranteed healthy and free of the viruses and parasites the vaccination and de-wormer protect against for a period of 72 hours from date and time of purchase and pick up.

  • Your new puppy is guaranteed free from life threatening genetic defects for a period of 1 year from date of birth.

  • Typical life threatening hereditary defects include: Heart Abnormalities (arrhythmias, murmurs, cardiac myopathy, etc.), Liver Abnormalities, Epilepsy, Blindness (proven genetically related), Collapsing Trachea.

What your Health Guarantee does not cover:

  • Health problems resulting from accidents, obesity, second hand smoke, malnutrition, dehydration, starvation or lack of proper vet care including regular vaccinations.

  • Other less common, but non-life threatening conditions such as uneven bite, loose patellas or hips, elongated soft palate, bacterial infections, common parasites or other conditions not listed.

  • The show or breeding quality of your puppy, size, color, or temperament.

  • Guarantee applies only to the original puppy Buyer. Seller is not responsible for shipping, veterinary or other expenses incurred after Buyer assumes ownership of puppy.

What happens if a life threatening hereditary defect is discovered:

  • If a life threatening hereditary disease is diagnosed during the first year of your puppy’s life, the Buyer is required to provide diagnosis reports from two non-associated, licensed veterinarians to validate the diagnosis.

  • The Seller's veterinarian will also perform a final review prior to concluding diagnosis.

  • Seller will provide a replacement puppy upon validation of the diagnosis (no money is refunded).

  • Due to timing and availability the Seller has 1 year to provide a replacement puppy of comparable value but cannot guarantee the replacement will be from the same parents.

  • Buyer can also return the puppy to breeder, but this is left up to the Buyer’s cost and the Buyer/Seller’s discretion.

(*A copy of this guarantee will be included for the Seller and Buyer to review and sign when you complete your puppy Purchase Agreement.)
